When learners collaborate, ELOs can be created in a collaborative mode. In the example below we have depicted the concept mapping tool in this collaborative mode. Buddies can be dragged to the ELO to invite them for collaboration. Once accepted they can enter the chat that is displayed in the right drawer and the ELO is shared and can be modified by all collaborating learners.
